Welcome to this month's installment of 30 Minutes in the Life. This month I documented a walk in the woods.

"The question is not what you look at but what you see." ~Henry Thoreau

I find that hiking at this time of year is quite literally LOOKING for something (anything!!) to SEE. The landscape is so barren and boring. We look to the warm sunlight for some color and are drawn to any color; blue skies, green moss or the bright pink of a lost glove you may see along the way). Any color is welcome except BROWN, lol.

Late afternoon sun through the trees..

A little heart..... I doubled back to take its photos...it's heart-warming, no?! 😂

A tree that continued to grow into what looks like arms waving vigorously to be noticed -- you can't unsee it can you??

A little gold in the stream...

Some birds circling over head...converted to black and white for some added drama...

A pattern of tree roots still asleep in the snow...

A Diptych: The abandoned glove and the Tree that resembles a hand...these were several feet away from each other...made me chuckle...

The sky reflecting in the lake...

The sun setting the trees ablaze while two ducks search for dinner...

I don't know about you but I cannot wait until Spring SPRINGS!

I don't know....maybe I'm being a but too hard on this time of year and all the brown and boring landscape. I may not have seen all these things if the trees and plants were in full bloom. I guess we all deserve a time to shine.

The next up in this month's installment of 30 Minutes in the Life Blog circle is Kristina Dominianni

See you next month!!!
