30 Minutes in the Life : January 2015
"Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood. ~Fred Rogers I love playgrounds. Especially as a photographer. A playground for a child is pure distraction which means lots of genuine smiles! I am a serial playground Mom. I guess, most parents are. We have marathon playground days where we start at one; move on to the next; have some lunch; hit up another playground. We are usually the only playground visitors in the winter, although sometimes those visits are short lived. We call this playground "the boat park". The playground equipment are designed like boats and lighthouses. This park is also right next to the sound.....so on a winter day it is colder here than most places by many degrees.... Here is 30 minutes we spent at "the boat park"......... Walking the plank...confidently And cautiously (with a smile)....
We don't know what this structure is supposed to be . It sits at the end of the plank that you walk on from the boat. They were pretending to be stuck in the arms of an octopus. It also serves as nice framing tool for a cute portrait.... And this one is the "that's enough pictures" getaway..... We think this is like a rescue boat that hangs off the side of a boat. It spins around unevenly like it's on rough seas. Until we meet again, I leave you with a little swing action and a smile.... Please head on to the talented photographer, Hayley Hay of Hayley Hay Photography in Lausanne, Switzerland

This is the coolest playground I've ever seen! You've definitely inspired me to take my poor kids to the playground in the winter too. lol Beautiful images. I love all the awesome lines and those kiddos' sweet faces. So much joy!
