I think it would be great if sledding were always enough, but it isn't.” ~Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower Without actually setting out to do it, I feel like there is a theme running through these images. A theme of growing up. We cannot stop them from growing up and our parents couldn't stop us either. It's inevitable. We can just give them the tools and the love they need to grow up on the right path. My son turns 7 in June. When did that happen?! He is so excited, all kids are, for their birthday. I keep telling him he can have a birthday if he promises to stay little...stay 6. He smirks. He held my hand as we crossed a parking lot yesterday. I asked him if he would still hold my hand when he was 18. He said yes; I'm holding him to it. My week:

The Daily Frame | 128 of 365: "Progress lies not in enhancing what is but in advancing toward what will be." ~Khalil Gibran His teachers wondered how they would all make it through the year after just the beginning 3 months of school. He is very bright....He is ADHD. Kids with ADHD struggle more with themselves than anything going on around them. It's like living without any internal "brake" system. Not one teacher or doctor can understand how he is able to learn and process what he needs to in a classroom setting. But he does and he has succeeded! A great end of year conference with a wonderful group of people at his school I call "Team Michael". Onwards and upwards! He has made it with soaring reviews. Working on his surprise reward for all his hard work.....

All so beautiful as usual Meagan. Kids growing up has been hitting me hard this week too. My baby turned four a couple of days ago. I really wished she could have stayed little forever.
