The Daily Frame : February 20 2015
“I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says "Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.”
Greetings and Salutations! Welcome to the end of the third week in February! Each week that goes by brings us closer to warmer weather (-17 degrees with wind chill here today). So I hope you are sitting somewhere warm and sunny while you enjoy The Daily Frame blog circle. Without further adieu here my week in rewind....

The Daily Frame | 47 of 365: The Daily Frame | 46 of 365: "You’ll learn, as you get older, that rules are made to be broken. Be bold enough to live life on your terms, and never, ever apologize for it. Go against the grain, refuse to conform, take the road less traveled instead of the well-beaten path. Laugh in the face of adversity, and leap before you look. Dance as though EVERYBODY is watching. March to the beat of your own drummer. And stubbornly refuse to fit in.” ~Mandy Hale A new haircut from our Irish barber in the Bronx. She asked if she could spike his hair in front. I said, "Sure, why not." She asked if he could have spray. Again I said "Sure, why not." (LOL! I didn' t know it was color spray!)
Moments later. my little boy was transformed. I kinda love it! It's Westchester County meets Northern Ireland IRA ruffian. I prefer the ruffian. heart emoticon

After a while you learn the subtle difference ~Veronica A. Shoffstall This is for all the broken hearted on Valentine's Day. It's so easy to get caught up in all the lovey dove mushy stuff when you are in love that it's easy to forget that not everyone has a heart so overflowing with joy on a day like today. When my heart was first broken, my mom gave me this poem. (That was a really long time ago.) I am sure there is a copy of it all folded up at the bottom on my memory box. This image I took today isn't the best image I've ever taken or even original but when I saw it on the screen I immediately remembered the line "So you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul, Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers." I had forgotten that is was a part of this poem. When I googled the line, this poem came up. It's amazing that in the mere seconds that I looked at this image, so many emotions came rushing over me. One of them being that it is inevitable that some day, the hearts of my children will be broken. And I will rummage through the depths of my memory box and give them this poem as my Mom did so many years ago. So is it the happiest Valentine's Day message? No. But it's for all those who are hurting out there today. I hope this brings you some solace. The Daily Frame | 43 of 365:
