30 Minutes in the Life : April 2015
“The chains of habit are too weak to be felt until they are too strong to be broken.”
The only thing my kids want to do on the first warm day in Spring is go to the beach...our favorite spot, Sherwood Island in Connecticut. It's what we have always done....the weather turns warm and we pack up and go, bright and early. However this year, I just didn't make any plans for the first 75 degree day. I was just going to let them play all day, in the apartment, outside at the playground, riding bikes....just an easy go-no where kind of day. At 11:00 my kids asked if we can go to the beach. I think they were wondering why I hadn't suggested it earlier. In the back of my mind, I was thinking "oh, it is so late in the day to go now...I have nothing ready..." I turned off the voice in my head and said, "okay, let's go!" I think I said yes to everything for the rest of that day. I am so glad I followed their lead. Here's 30 minutes of our time at the beach....
The perfect ending to the day and to my everyday!

Meagan, I am in Connecticut! We should totally meet at the beach some day. We can shoot and let the kids play. These are gorgeous. I especially love the hair shots of your daughter. Beautiful.
