His sister brought his lovey to school yesterday at pick-up time. We always go to the school playground after pick up. I watched him stuff his lovey in his bag before anyone could see it. He hesitated then pulled him out agin and stuffed him in his shirt and ran to the empty side of the playground. I started to tell him to leave it in his back pack...then I stopped myself. A change. It's part of growing up, especially for a boy...the fear of being made fun of for playing with a stuffed animal. It left me with a lump in my throat but at the same time I was proud of him for putting what he really wanted over what other boys on the playground would say or think. Someday his lovey will be in placed in his memory box, for him to pull out and reminisce about. Until then...

“All in the eye of the beholder - Some of the most destructive forces in the world (Fire & Water), can also have the power of beauty.”
― Martin R. Lemieux

This needs a little explanation. They were playing together, laughing having a great time. Then his shoe fell off as they were tumbling down a hill. She picked it up and ran to the nearest fence and threw it over. My littlest devil. So things turned quickly from laughter and giggly to tears (well, for him.) I think she thought she was clever....she knows his buttons and when to push them. She went with me to pick up the shoe on the other side of the fence. Maybe she was asserting her power in the situation. I will never know.

They are fire and water, yin and yang. But they are siblings and they love each other....and if you are lucky, Sibling love is one of God's most beautiful forms of love.
